stacy_ulmer_cnmStacy was born in South Florida and has lived in the southeast throughout most of her life. She has been a part of our midwife team since January 2015, and came to us after working at another OB/GYN practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Stacy graduated from the University of Colorado in Denver with a post-masters certificate in Nurse-Midwifery in 2013; she graduated one of the top in her class with honors.

Prior to her degree in midwifery, Stacy was an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at Bon Secours Saint Francis in Charleston, SC. While there, Stacy was appointed as a member of the Research Council as well as a member of the Emergency Department Shared Governance Committee. Stacy initially graduated with honors from Georgia Southern University Bachelors of Science in Biology; she also played collegiate soccer. After her undergraduate degree, she found her passion in the medical profession and continued on to the Medical College of Georgia for a Masters in Nursing with a focus in Clinical Nurse Leadership. She graduated in 2009 Magna Cum Laude as she did with her bachelors’ degree. In between her education, Stacy had many opportunities to travel abroad including East Africa, Southeast Asia, Central and South America, Europe, and a medical mission trip to Haiti. Throughout her international travels, she realized her specialty and passion was working with and empowering women. Fulfilling women’s healthcare needs and desires throughout their lifespan, primarily during pregnancy, is her main goal. Stacy believes it is important that women help make their own healthcare decisions with guidance from a health care provider.

Stacy lives in the Atlanta area with her husband, daughter, and pup. She enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, yoga, reading, and any activity outdoors or with her family; she is also a certified yoga instructor. Stacy is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and a Georgia Affiliate. It is her honor to be a part of your pregnancy journey.
