Meet SCWH Midwife, Pam Puett, MSN, CNM

Every month, Southern Crescent Women’s HealthCare features one of our team members on our blog. Meet SCWH Midwife Pam Puett, MSN, CNM!

Pam feels that every woman deserves to have quality midwifery care that they desire. In fact, it was Pam’s positive birth experience when she had a daughter was what drew her to midwifery. Pam attended nursing school at West Georgia College and then completed the midwifery program at Emory University. She practiced at Emory University’s midwifery service at Grady for several years and then moved to Southern Regional Medical Center’s location.

Pam feels strongly that midwifery is what God put her here to do and she cannot imagine doing anything else. She has seen many births over 25 years and every one of them is memorable (she even still cries at some deliveries).

When Pam is not working, you can find her tending to her backyard chickens, some of which lay green eggs! She very much loves God, country, and puts her family first. Her second love is anything to do with horses. Pam also enjoys “running sound” at church, for bands or for an event her husband is playing. She jokes that if she played an instrument, it would be the sound board. She is also completely passionate about the color red – anything red! And, did you know that Pam is a trekkie? She is a huge fan of Star Trek (the original series) and has been a Trekkie for over 50 years!

Pam’s favorite quote:

“The buck stops here.” – Harry S. Truman
