Mindy Hegyi, CNM
Piedmont Fayette Hospital
I was born and raised in the Dayton, Ohio area. I graduated from Kettering College as a Registered Nurse in 2010. Women’s health wasn’t my plan, but I still remember the first delivery I witnessed during my clinical time in RN school. I knew from that moment this is what I was meant for, and I became a Labor & Delivery nurse after graduation. I loved being an L&D nurse with all my heart, but knew I wanted more connection with my patients. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2015 with my Masters as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. I absolutely loved the more personal connection I had with my patients, but a few years in I realized how sad I was to be missing out on my patient’s deliveries, and how much I missed L&D. I completed my post grad certificate in Nurse Midwifery at Georgetown University in 2021, and then my husband and I said goodbye to Ohio and relocated to Coweta County!
I have been married to my husband Joe since 2011. We do not have children, but are proud dog parents to a yorkie and corgi. I enjoy working out on my Peloton and Tonal, reading, traveling, shopping, and trying new restaurants.
Being a CNM is truly my dream career. I particularly enjoy all aspects of prenatal care, postpartum care, and birth control. I enjoy building a strong connection with my patients and providing them education to empower them to make healthcare decisions. I deeply care about my patients and strive to help them achieve a healthy pregnancy and delivery. I am so excited to be part of the Southern Crescent team!
