Michelle Uzor, MD, FACOG is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who joined Southern Crescent Women’s Healthcare in early 2025. Dr. Uzor’s devotion to patient education and advocacy is at the heart of her practice. She is passionate about both high- and low-risk obstetrics, fibroid management (including non-surgical and surgical options), PCOS, and menopause management. 

Dr. Uzor completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish at the University of Georgia. She then earned her medical degree and completed her residency training at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. During her residency, she received several awards, including the “Excellence in Student Education” and “Most Compassionate Physician”. Her training at a high-risk, inner-city hospital provided invaluable experience caring for complex and critically ill patients, shaping her commitment to addressing healthcare disparities, especially in the state of Georgia given the outstanding maternal mortality rate.

Dr. Uzor’s passion for serving the underserved and advancing medical education extends beyond the clinic. She has conducted research in hormone gene expression under an NIH grant at the University of Florida, contributing to advancements in women’s health. She believes in fostering a strong doctor-patient relationship by creating a space where patients feel comfortable advocating for their health and asking questions.

A first-generation Nigerian-American, Dr. Uzor has called Georgia home for most of her life. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world with her fiancé, exploring Atlanta’s vibrant food scene, practicing hot yoga, cycling, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She also loves spending time with her large family and her beloved dog.
